Default Good for Baylor

Thought thereíd be a thread by now but Iím glad Baylor won even though I had Gonzaga winning in my pool. But my brackets took a beating so it didnít matter.

Couldnít stand seeing that arrogant Timme stroking his mustache, pounding his chest, and lifting his arms like he was a champ .

Loved seeing the look of disappointment on his face. I was hoping for tears.

Congrats to a good group, I still can’t get over how fast they are as a team.

Ol Huggy Bear said it the best, “can’t appreciate Baylor’s speed on defense unless you play them.”

Glad they won as well. Growing up around waco, Baylor sports always pretty much sucked. They have really stepped up with facilities, coaches salaries etc to build a very competitive athletics program. Everything from I-35 south along the river is now athletics facilities that rival any in the country. Drew has done an amazing job turning that program around. He took probably the worst DI job in the country and has built it to a national championship team.

That was a dominating win. Surprised me, but I was glad to see a Texas school win for sure. I thought it would be an up-and-down-the-floor high scoring close game with Gonzaga coming out on top. Baylor was awesome.

Baylor has come a long way since the Dave Bliss era, and Drew should get all the credit. He’s a great person and a great coach

agreed, glad a Texas school won it! Baylor was on FIRE early and Gonzaga just couldn't get over the hump. Baylor athletics has come a long way in all sports, that's for sure!

I don't watch basketball at all, but I watched every second of that game. That was great. Even my untrained eye noticed Baylor's athleticism and defensive awesomeness.

I'm a Big 12 homer but I guess there is something to strength of schedule after all. Gonzaga beat some good teams for sure but nothing like running the gauntlet that is Big 12 basketball. Gonzaga looked confused and disoriented from the opening tip.

Yep. It was like the opening bell rang, and Baylor ran to the center of the ring and punched the Zags in the teeth about 6 times before they could even blink. And then the Zags were stunned and woozy the rest of the game. Baylor was impressive - coaching as well as player performance and execution. Props to them.

Great game to watch. Happy for them to bring home the hardware. Helps that they won me a little pocket change by winning it all, as I had them picked to!

Proud Bear here! Was at BU during the darkest days of the basketball program. Never thought I’d see this day. So happy for the team, fans and school. That was about as dominating National game as we will ever see.

Congrats to the Bears and their fans. I didn't watch the game, but sounds like they dominated from the tip.

Baylor dominated from start to finish. Their physical presence, unrelenting defensive pressure, and hitting 3's all night suffocated Gonzaga. Gonzaga is a solid program too. Baylor was on another level.

Exactly. I told my wife about 5 minutes in that Baylor had delivered a young Mike Tyson like punch in the nose that they may not be able to overcome. Kudos to Baylor and what a story Coach Drew has written there, pretty amazing accomplishment that should be a lesson to all about giving a quality coach time to build things the right way.

The Coach Drew story is greatness. Happy to see and good man/leader take Baylor to the top.

I had Baylor getting beat by Gonzaga in my bracket, but they proved me wrong big time. They suffocated Gonzaga on the perimeter and drove passed them at will on the other end. Couldn't handle them at all.

Congrats to the Baylor Bears! It was a "rippple" support effect for us. When UT got beat, my Longhorn sons jumped on my UH Cougars bandwagon; When my Coogs lost to Baylor...We all jumped on the "Bear" wagon to support our fellow Texas team. Man they looked invincible.

Congrats again!

Being a kid from Richardson Texas Timme is a hell of a player plus heís got 2 more years of eligibility. I never wish bad on any team or player no matter the circumstances. I mean this is a 20 yo you was hoping to see tears. Sometimes itís best to keep your comments to yourself

Ditto for me as well. I even went to the free Bill Cosby comedy show put on to raise our spirits during that time. That didn't age well...

1st Amendment there buddy - Freedom of Speech.

If he hadnít been so cocky with stroking his mustache, pounding his chest, and holding up his arm like heís showing off his muscles - which is considered taunting the other team - I would have never said anything.

Pet peeve here. This is not a Freedom of Speech issue.

1st amendment/freedom of speech protects you from censorship by the government.... ďcongress shall make no law to infringe on your ability to speak.Ē It does not protect one from consequences from individuals, companies or anything else... see the Dixie Chicks.

You can say what you want and he can think you are a winder likker if he wants.
