I would reach out to Colt and see if their historian may be able to dig deeper into the records and confirm a City, State of Denton Hardware ? Even a zip code would help.

Good idea, but zip codes were not used in the 30's.

In 1930 you could probably put Denton Hardware store on the label and the USPS/UPS would be competent enough to figure out where it went

Evers Hardware on the square and T & Sons was the old family sporting good store on the square.



Not sure if T & Sons sold hardware before or if Evers sold guns. ....

T and Sons opened in late 60's. Hensley family owned and operated and it was a combination Hallmark style gift and gun store. Evers opened in 1885 and sold everything from hardware, kitchenware, guns, pecans, etc. Pierce's, next door, also sold guns and ammo.
