    Dad has been trying to kill a turkey for years on his lease east of Nacodoches.

    He finally connected this morning

              Good for him. No experience, but I’m told Easterns are tougher to fool than Rios. When I first bought my place I had seven hens on it. They slowly drifted away or got killed.

                              Did he call it in? Or was be able to capitalize from a deer stand? It seems like these birds are as common as unicorns so I don’t imagine them being hunted using roosting calling methods.
