    Schmoked Boar...or Was He??

I’ve never seen a blood trail like this with no LDP at the end. Blood was amazing and lots of lung bubbles. Trailed him around 100 yards and I swear he just ran out of blood but kept going. These were 3 spots of the approximately ten I found. After number ten, it fizzled to nothing and no pig.

    Oh well...

Bubbles in the blood isn't always indicative of a lung hit. Anytime a large volume of blood is pouring out the turbulence can generate a little foam.
This deer was shot in the hind leg.

Not saying you didn't put a good shot on him. Pigs are tough. I think hunters lose way more hogs than deer. They are just a little tougher to take down.

Yep ! Two years ago my friend put a crossbow bolt through a 150/175 lb boar that should have put him down in less than 100 yards. I killed that hog over 600 yards away as the crow flies and he ran about 75 yards after I put a 115 grain Fusion through both lungs.
