Default Let’s go to Tajikistan
Ok guys time has come. I leave out tomorrow for Tajikistan. They had a little conflict a few weeks ago but it looks like that has calmed down. This is my first rifle hunt since I was 18. They told me I couldn’t bring my bow . I will post some updates on here like gear I’m taking, pictures along the way and all that good stuff. Who would have thought this Redneck would be headed to the Middle East on a hunt?

Mid Asian in tajik is one I want to do real bad. Will be my next international hunt without a doubt. I’m in for this one.

Just curious, is it not legal to hunt with a bow or is it a rule for who you are hunting with?

getting in archery range @ 4-6000 meters require maximum physical effort and stealth, no air , no trees, so even rifle hunting is difficult near the death zone?

The death zone is over 26k feet (or 8000m). These hunts are not near that high, but still plenty high. Mine was in the 14k ft range. No trees, no air, maximum effort for this flat lander lol

Lol the feel like death zone starts @ 3000 meters for us Texas guys , altitude sickness is a B !

If you don't travel abroad with rifles a lot I would recommend a pod cast. I don't know if it was Remi's podcast or the vortex podcast, but he gave a lot of useful tips about travel abroad with a rifle.

Back up gun case locks in the case.
Bullet count restrictions.
Paper work for any connecting country.

One thing I found interesting is that I didn’t have to buy any gear for this hunt. So I’m pretty confident in saying I have everything I need to backpack hunt anywhere in the world.


Also I’ve noticed the more of these type hunts I do the less I stress about it. No extensive gear list or unnecessary gear. Knew what I needed and exactly how to pack it
