Man it’s nasty as hell out here.

Saw over 40 deer this am but nothing super mature. Could deer around 5 or so.

Been in the blind an HR this evening and they are moving well again.

Just got back. Weather was perfect. Not good for hanging around drinking beer around the fire after hunts but the deer loved it. Nothing shot but it’s wasn’t cause we had a shortage of targets. Had a shortage of determination on our part and nobody wanting to mess with a deer in this weather. I thought La Niña year meant warmer and drier fall weather in Texas.

Not complaining but after three days of this mess I’m ready for a cool clear morning.

Things should be picking up with these cooler temps. About another 15 days until the big boys get after those does. My niece did kill a 183 low fence Webb county buck a few days ago.

Buddy killed this small framed buck a few weeks ago at my place. Was a slick ten last yr @ 7 yrs old.
Had 16 score-able pts.

Ain’t my call but ironically before that display all I watched was turkeys and quail.

My little guy took his first rifle animal tonight. He was fired up. 46 yards. Down in its tracks! Was pretty awesome Thanksgiving!
