The quintessential Texas Deer Stand Rifle.

We have a newer version one my wife shoots that’s a 25/06.
Really really want an original one day that’s a 7mag or the harder to find .270

Did the Sendero come in a stainless version? Guy who owns the property we hunt was talking about an older 700 he has, and the way he described it made me think it was a sendero. He hasn’t checked it to see if it is or not.

This thread inspired me to go out and shoot my old 7mag sendero today. I have the one with laminate stock, non-fluted, and high gloss blued finish. I'm not sure what year they made those, but I bought it new 30 plus years ago. After today I can confirm that it still shoots much better than I do! Would love to add another sendero to the collection one day.

I’ve got three. They shoot bugholes. My 7 RUM sendero shoots 2” groups at 800 yards.

Anyone know if there’s still an hs precision stock in production that matches the Gen 1 Sendero profile? Or is finding a pull off the only option?
