    Colorado Spring Break 2020

This year we stayed in a VRBO for spring break just to the north of Blackhawk, CO. It was amazing and each trip to CO it gets harder and harder to come back to Texas. I always set out with grand ideas of a photo expedition but, with 6 kids the reality is I don't get as many opportunities to pull the camera out as I'd like too. But, I did grab some photos over the week we were there from around Blackhawk and RMNP.

    Camera: Canon 5ds R

Lens: Canon 16-35 f4 IS & Canon 70-200 f2.8 IS II. I just picked up a Canon 500 f4 IS (mki) and wish I'd done so before this trip, the extra reach is awesome.

Had a cow shiras moose visit the house we rented three times in two days. This was an awesome experience. At one point I was within 10 ft. of her. She knew I was there but was very relaxed the whole time. I have no misconceptions about it, had she wanted to pummel me she would have been able to.

This one didn't turn out like I'd hoped or had pictured in my head but, I love that it conveys just how big the mountains are.

I know you said that final mountain pic didnt turn out how you wanted it but i love it. the way the peaks just kinda fade into the grey abyss of the sky makes it look like they are never ending. and those real deep blueish shadows in the crevices of the scene. its a really cool pic. relly wish i could see what you had in mind for that one.

awesome pics TBH has some of the best photographers i have ever seen!

Thanks for sharing. These are great pictures. I worked in RMNP for 3 years. That first picture looks like Moraine Park

And thank you everyone else for the kind words. I’m hoping we can still make it back this summer.
