I took my sons’ turkey hunting this past Sunday to practice a little social distancing. My 10 year old son was behind the trigger using my 12 gauge. Got set up in a deer stand and called for about 15 minutes and we finally heard him gobble. After about 5 minutes or so we finally saw him a few hundred yards away. He gobbled one more time and I yelped a few times and he started to make his way in slowly. Walked straight to us and at 20 yards, I told my son to shoot. He pulled the trigger and that was it. Funny thing was he was sitting in my lap to shoot and when he pulled the trigger, the recoil forced him to elbow me in the ribs which didn’t feel too good. But well worth it. The boys loved it and we will probably try again this weekend.
