Bent head

I bent a Simmons head shooting a turkey. Shoot a hog, no problem. A turkey whooped it. Anyone ever successfully straightened one?

I’ve had turkeys destroy broadheads with a compound They are tough.

Turkeys are as tough a critter as we hunt around here. The bones and feather quills will mess up some heads!!!!!

I talked to Dave at Simmons. Sent him an email and pic. He is sending a replacement but I straightened it pretty good. I'm gonna put it in a pig, unless another turkey comes by, and see what happens.

Ive bought some of those used and I bent some and tried to unbend to no avail. Its kinda interesting seeing the bent ones plane off when shooting. Sharpening them is an unproductive pain for me. In the past several years Ive mostly used my used bent “aforementioned company” heads for grubbing veggies out of the soils at GRXH.

This is the straightened head. The I shot three four arrow ends. Four shots at four dots. Did it three times with similar results. Sitting at 20 yards. I'm gonna sharpen the snot out of it and skewer a pig, or another turkey, with it this weekend.

I have unbent one. Painted "bent" on it... and have run it through 2 smallish pigs since.
