You know I noticed, but they gotta quit stranding runners and getting outhit and letting teams hang around. Dang near lost today with lackluster pitching and sloppy fielding (30+ mph winds didnít help, but they should be used to that here at home)

Agreed. At some point the circus catches they have been making are going to let them down.

Ol Miss pulled out of game 2 on Wed but playing Tuesday. That is weak in my opinion. They saw La Tech outhit Arkansas all weekend and pulled out of a game since it would probably be a straight bullpen game and track meet. They should get pulled from top 10 on that.

Kinda like Baylor in basketball and football? Ohio State? All these games should start being counted as losses/ forfeit. I understand protecting your kids, but if you can field a team, even if not your best kids, you are obligated to at least try. NCAA needs to step up.

La Tech throttled Ol Miss. It was never close. Out hit them, pitched them, and out fielded them. Baseball karma paid their coach a visit. He didnt like what he saw out of his team during the weekend and what La Tech did with Arkansas. He drops the second game probably wanting to drop the first.

Ags picked up a midweek win over UH 9-4 for their 11th straight before heading to UF for first SEC series, starting Thursday. Hopefully they can keep it rolling in conference play.

That sucks. I watched the replay of Tuesdayís game last night when we got home. They interviewed him and I got the vibe his time on the field was probably done.

Hate to see it end that way, but it was a pleasure to watch, 44. I appreciate the way you played the game, and heíll always appreciate the kindness and the ball you threw him.

Good luck with whatever you have planned next, and good fishin!

Tough news. Best of luck to the young man going forward.

Ags humbled a bit in the SEC opener in Gainesville. A 13-4 drubbing ends the 11 game win streak. Hopefully they can rebound tomorrow and Saturday.

Rough weekend for the Ags in Gainesville. UF is legit. They were in command the entire series, on the mound and at the plate. They have a couple of true freshmen that apparently have displaced proven upperclassmen in the lineup at key positions...for the preseason number 1 team.

Ags battled, but there was never a really a feeling that they might win any of the three in the series.

Keep an eye on Vandy, though. Their 1-2 pitchers may be as good as any in the nation. 2 hitter and 13 Kís yesterday (against Gamecocks) followed by no hitter with 16 Kís today!

I hope the Rangers are paying attention, and snag whichever one of these guys slips to #2 in the upcoming draft! Rocker seems to be the consensus #1 pick, and would likely go to the Pirates, leaving Leiter for the Rangers (hopefully).

If Vandy puts some chemistry together they are most than a team to watch. Arkansas will do good to stay in top 10.

No sir- kid decided on here once he sat down with coaching staff. I had never been to Ruston before he said we were headed there for a trip. After getting here and me spending a few weekends I think he made the best decision. He is the youngest kid on team and probably wont get much more than filler innings if i was guessing. Go Dogs

Good to get the series win. Bullpen is going to have to be more consistent and Tadlock is going to have to be willing to pull the trigger on getting some of those guys out of the game quicker when they just donít have it.

OSU is good......as they typically are. Great series win.

Yes someone is going to have to step up in that bullpen and be the ice cold closer. This blowing multi run leads in the 9th is fun once or twice but not every outing. Maybe that is Micah Dallasí role or the kid that closed out yesterdayís game. No need for any pitcher to feel he has to pitch to strike out, the fielding has been too notch. Just throw strikes!!!!

I agree completely on Dallas. Unfortunately we have had some disappointments out of the pen so far this year. The fact that Sublette has been so mediocre is tough to stomach. In all fairness to him, heís not the only one. Luckily our starting pitchers have been pretty stout.

Monteverde is a beast.

Yep- I commented to Keith this morning that our pitching has slipped since Coach Hayward stepped back from the Pitchers Coach role. Sublette and Queen have both laid a few eggs this year

Agreed on Monteverde

Texas allowed OU to tie it up my throwing away a pick off advancing the runner to 3rd and then a pass ball to score.
