yes, SEC network announced it earlier. After being boo-ed at the World Series and the UFC fight I hope folks are more civil down south.

Auburn looked bad shaky against Ole Miss but this Georgia game should be another barn burner for college fans!

not a odd move at all. The kid behind Burrows aint that hot. The portal is a hot topic but it gives the control back to the kid and his family. Nothing wrong with that!

Yep, been issues before but kept pretty low key. I hope him the best as he works thru his personal reasons. The young man is truly a wrecking ball when on the field.

I agree Brennan hasn’t really shined when he takes over, however I’m not sold on king

Everything I have heard is that Brennan can run the offense great when he gets to run with the 1's in practice. When we see him in a game its with all backups and it slows down his timing and he doesn't look that good. I would rather pass on king and see what Brennan can do.

So the Texas D is worse due to the injuries and mostly 3rd string freshmen playing the last few week?

Chad did you see the tweet from Acho about how when the Horns played the Aggies in 09 they knew when Tannehil was passing/when it was a run play? Apparently his feet were staggered on pass plays and even on run calls. It was fool proof and they picked him off 3 times. Aggies suffered that never ending L to the Horns over something so simple. LMAO.

Hey, when they crack down on paying your own players, you turn to plan B---pay the other players to leave!

What was the Texas strength and conditioning coaches name that you were all so high on a couple years ago? Is he still on the 40? I need about time to look at his job?

I have seen that it could be announced Thursday or Friday. Still in the sources are saying stage so not sure how sure this is. FSU people I know say this would be a homerun hire considering the situation.

I don’t think so as it’s local news reporting it vs all the usual suspects. It makes a lot of sense though especially with FSU comments about wanting to “hire quickly” and “have it done by end of season”.

All the other coaches they are looking at have massive buyouts so this could save them some money without a buyout for Stoops. They can offer him more money because of that.

There’s no doubt this was an expensive misstep for FSU.

Ive been hearing Alex Delton has quit the team. If so, TCU lost 4 QB's in a span of 5 days lol. 2 to injury, 1 to portal, 1 to displeasure

They are trying to talk him into staying but it could be really, really bad on Saturday.

Why in the world would Stoops leave an OU program on top, sit out a few years and then take over a program in shambles?

Guaranteed money. He was getting ready to coach again anyways. Yes semi pro players instead of 18-22 year olds. The money is WAY better AND this gig won’t fold up in 3-6 months. With as far back as this sets the boosters he will have a LONG leash. He can be at FSU until he truly gets ready to leave.

If Bob Stoops gets hired at FSU, will Mack Brown say "****" and retire from UNC?

In regards to the big game this weekend, if Bama beats LSU it's going to really hurt the LSU faithful. They are already on a 8 (I think) game losing streak to them, and this is their best team by far in that stretch. This HAS to be the game they finally beat Bama, and if not, will they ever while Saban is still coaching?

Yes and no. Yes LSU has lost every game against them that started in the 2011 national championship rematch. Yes this is most likely the best offensive team LSU has had since then, but they have had some good overall teams since then. I think LSU just needs a competitive game, which they haven't had the last 2 years. Saban has had LSU's number. Some of that I think is mental but we will see. Personally I hope LSU beats them by 3 scores or more but I don't see that happening even if Tua doesn't play.

To spend time with his family...

It’s ego, he wants to show that he can still win, and Riley’s success has only made him want to prove it more.

FSU isn't hiring Joe Brady. He isn't even the full time OC and hasn't even been on the job a year. He has not proven a single thing to anyone that he could be a head coach.

I hope they get Lane Kiffin or Mike Leach.

I tend to believe the rumor of Kiffin to FSU over Stoops.

He got an education under Saban and it just seems more likely to me for him go in to the mess they have right now than Stoops.

Not comparing the two at all because Patterson is one of the best in the business but this sounds like something only Sumlin could pull off mid-season.
