I have 1 big bodied buck but doesn't look like he will make ARs. My place is looking more and more like a sanctuary this season. I have hunts planned elsewhere and still should be one heck of a season!

Young bucks are looking good. If the highway doesn't kill them I hope to see the wide one in 2 years.

Making a dent in my pig population as well. Killed 6 in the last 3 days. Shot 3 and trapped 3. Still quite a few to go.

Default Deer Pics

They are killing our protein feeders at our Cherokee County place. WE are feeding All Stock pellets and they love them. Looks like all of our does are pregnant so we should have some good fawn pics coming up.

Anybody ever see a whitetail with such a dark and defined black line running down her back?

All the ladies are showing up regularly. Even have a youngster or two tag along now.

Very interesting article. Thanks for sharing.

It would be pretty neat if this is something similar or if its just a freak of nature.

Couple of youngins, some big pigs and an old doe. Hopefully the bucks move in come fall, thereís plenty of does in the area. For some reason they donít like this feeder.

This is the wettest I have ever seen SE Texas in over 35 years. I STILL cannot even get to my hunting areas without seriously screwing up my roads/trails. That said, my food plots still have standing water and my feeder locations are still under 6-8Ē water. Unbelievable. And I am not even in the river bottom. I did notice today, the Trinity is still out of itís banks, but much lower than in May. If I am not mistaken, it has been out of its banks for Dec. or Jan.

I have several bucks hitting the feeder. I've been watching them grow their racks from nubs a month or so back. Hopefully I have at least one that makes the hit list. It is really going to be hard to top last year's deer.

New to the East Texas hunting. Just got on a lease in Seven Oaks with my cousin. Pretty stoked to see how this season turns out.

Got feeder filled, Pen built and cameras going yesterday. Will go back in about 3 weeks to check on everything and hopefully have some buck on camera.

It has been 2 months since the last time I was at the lease. Looking forward to get out there to check cameras and see whats happening! I found a new bow spot this year on a creek that overlooks an oak flat that my blood is pumping already!

Love the plot. Wish mine looked like that. Deer got mine ate down to about 6in! Planted Forage beans this year, to keep up with browse pressure, didn't work.

Anyone else seeing some extra trash this year with all the rains? We have split BT, kickers off main beams, and split G2's on a couple different bucks.

2/3 of our place has been under water since May from the Trinity, it's starting to drain now that the river is dropping finally.

I've had 10 bucks on camera since Thursday and ole Stewart chompin at the bit to chase em! Hopefully they won't have to wear floaties come October for him

There is one up side to the long term flooding of the Trinity... It has killed a lot of the under brush in the thickest places... Dang blackberry vines have historically been real bad where I hunt, but the past few years, I haven't had my arms or ears ripped off riding 4 wheelers or ATV's down the trails so much...

Few years back we were flooded from October - July after that 24" rain that hit corsicana area etc. Place looked like a desert that next hunting season once the water finally drained, but since then it's been growing up and the bucks have gotten bigger.

One thing I noticed is we have 0 goat weeds this year, and we typically have tons.

New to the forum and E. Texas hunting. Got a place in Polk county this year between Segno and Dallardsville. My wife's grandfather has been on it for 5 years so I'm familiar with the lease. Had a few decent 8's running around last year, a lot of does, and just overrun with hogs. I was on a place in Junction last year so this area is an adjustment for sure. Seeing some of you guy's pics is getting me pumped! I've still got a lot of work to do on my place but should be good.

Thatís good means theyíre summering somewhere else and will be there when it counts.... season. Where the does are the boys will follow several of my places are this way. Iíd rather no velvet picks, then have them show up when they break up bachelor groups. Rather than have summer pics all year then never see them again during season.

Iím in for this year, I like seeing everyoneís successes. Havenít had a chance to do any work on property this year yet. Getting adjusted to new schedule with 3yo and 1mo old now is taking up most of our time. Hoping to get out with the 3yo soon to clear, fill, and prep!

Hereís mine from Nacogdoches/Rusk Co line last year, had a couple more in this range on cam last year:
