Default ****** off at Tpwd.

For the 2nd year I never received my duck stamp in the mail. Had to buy 3 last year for the 45 day temp tag and never got them either. But I receive my public lands book and all the other crap they send out. Called and asked them and they confirm my address and say weíre sending it to you. Yet again never receive it.
Tried the local post office and they didnít even have any.

My father in law got one almost 2 years after he bought it. Lol

It ain’t TPWD (and they have their own issues) it’s the postal service

If you’re not getting your federal duck stamp there’s no reason to be ****** off at TPWD. And, if you’d buy the super combo license, the Texas duck stamp is included. I’m not even sure there’s an actual Texas stamp. I believe it’s just an endorsement on your Texas license.

I think the OP is talking about the Federal Stamp...

The Federal Duck Stamp is not included in the Super Combo license.

The Migratory Stamp is included but the Federal Duck Stamp is extra.

TPWD has nothing to do with the Federal Duck stamp. Your Federal Goberrment over sees that program.

ēIf you bought an E-Stamp and you have not received your physical Duck Stamp after a few weeks, contact Amplex at duckstamp@amplex.com or 800/852-4897. Do not contact the Federal Duck Stamp Office.

No sir, the Federal duck stamp is not included in the super combo. It would be great if it did, but you have to buy that separate.

OP,

If you're looking to hunt in the AM and your receipt is over 45 days old, you got two choices.

1. Donate another $25 and get a new temporary license.
2. Toss the dice and hope the Game Wardens aren't where you are.

I grew up with parents as Teachers. That toss the dice thing never worked.

Goodluck

After not receiving one the last two years after purchasing I quit buying them online. I believe the Post Office still carries them.

I miss the old days when they would ask you if you wanted a duck stamp when you bought a license...

"No sir, I'm not planning on mailing any ducks this year "

I’ve always gone to the post office to get mine. You have to go early though. My post office lady told me they only get sent a few and when they sell them they don’t get more.

This year was the first time I received my federal duck stamp without having to make multiple calls. TPWD has a third party that sends the stamps. I'm thinking they need to just quit using the third party and go back to just selling them at the post office.

Hunted all year once with just the receipt hoping the game warden would be understanding and if not hopefully the judge would understand. Not sure if thatís considered optimistic or just dumb...

I blamed that one Latisha at Walmart. Been buying my license from Academy every since and got it delivered in no time.

I’ll bet his local game warden (TPWD) will have something to say if that stamp is not on his license

From the 2019 - 2020 TPWD Outdoor Annual:

Texas Migratory Game Bird Endorsement
$7 (Item 168)
Required to hunt any migratory game bird (waterfowl, coot, rail, gallinule, snipe, dove, sandhill crane, and woodcock). A valid Federal Duck Stamp and HIP Certification are also required of waterfowl hunters 16 years of age or older. A free Federal Sandhill Crane Hunting Permit is required to hunt sandhill cranes. The Sandhill Crane permit is available at TPWD Law Enforcement offices, online, or by calling (800) 792-1112 #4820#.

There is a Texas duck stamp? Since when? No, there is a Migratory game bird endorsement. Yes, you need it to hunt ducks, but it is NOT the duck stamp that is being discussed in the original post. This is about the duck stamp, which is federal not state. That is NOT included with the super combo.

The reason for quoting this tweet and saying it is not included is because the post can be misread by people and think if they buy the super combo, you are all set...this is wrong. Just don't want new hunters getting confused!

You said "Texas duck stamp is included with super combo"...no such thing as Texas duck stamp. the Migratory game bird endorsement is included and allows you to hunt ducks IF you have the duck stamp.

I believe you know this and just worded your original post a little funky and most of us took it as you saying that the duck stamp is included with the super combo. Just don't want new hunters getting the wrong message from the post!

Don't forget emojis. They help convey during the communication process.

I got asked why I need to buy 3 stamps this year, repeatedly . I buy multiple stamps each year.

1. for my license
2. one for my collection
3. and final one in case a client or family member forgets one, or can't get one on a spur-of-the-moment hunt. This one is put with my collection for trading at a later date if not used.

Not all post offices carry them. I'd recommend calling around first. Then make sure they have one for the current year. Sometimes they have them for past years and don't know the difference. I've made that unnecessary trip before.
