Default Best M&P 2.0 9mm aftermarket barrel?

I picked up a 5Ē FDE M&P 2.0 9mm this morning. Looking to pull the factory barrel and install an aftermarket threaded one. Black not stainless. Any recommendations on whoís got the best drop in barrel these days? Do not want one that needs to be fitted. Being on sale helps

Barsto tends to be high quality, storm lake tends to be good enough. Depends on how good of a shot you actually are and how much you want to spend. Many people can't really hold a 3 inch group at 25 offhand with the best equipment so paying for the extra half inch or so that a barsto might get you may not be worth it. Drop in and high quality generally don't go hand in hand

Understood. I had a KKM in my last M&P and it shot noticeably better than the factory barrel

The irony in your post is neither of those links take you to the product I asked for. Neither fit my gun. And one of them even says discontinued. Maybe step up your google game. No cookie. Do not pass go. Do not collect $200.

I’m well aware of the various makers and where to buy them. Usually when someone asks about a suggestion on a quality product they are looking for more than a stupid google link. Now move along boy.

Hmm maybe I am a dumbass.

Usually when people ask questions on Internet forums they get 15 different opinions. I’m not sure why this thread is so special.

Youíre making yourself look worse with each link. Especially the last one. I said drop in. No fitment work.

So far we have learned that 2.0 guns will work with standard M&P barrels. I’m sorry google doesn’t work where you live.

I've had good luck with double diamond.

However both have been for glocks and going from 40 to 9. Not exactly what you're looking for but the fitment etc has been flawless

I personally donít know of anyone making a threaded barrel for the 5in other than maybe Silencerco. All of the other big name barrel companies donít make a 5in that I know of. I know apex makes non threaded so they might make one thatís threaded

Iíve found Apex and KKM so far. Probably going with KKM. Gonna wait cuz $250 with nitride coating is steep LOL. I gotta call a few more places for custom work that may offer barrels. I think Agency and ATEI do them too.

Got some Taran +6 base plates headed my way and looking at options for tritium fiber optic sights. Finding a deal on a pistol has gotten excessive

I have the 2.0c

Threw a flatty on it with an apex “semi gunsmith” or whatever they call it and that unit is as good as some high dollar 1911’s I’ve got. Super accurate pistol.

I don't have the M&P like you, I have the Shield and I put a Silencerco threaded barrel on it and it shoots better than the factory one. Drop in with fitting. The same with my 92f Silcenerco bbl. No fitting.
https://silencerco.com/threaded-barrel.html

Midway has a good supply of threaded barrels for your pistol also.

I've tried a few barrels over the years (Glock though)...and by far the best fitting and most accurate I have used is KKM. That "button rifling" he spins on them is what sets them apart IMO.
