Hoping its competitive

I'm sure you don't realize it, but this is statistically, your lowest rated defense in over 10+ years.

I stopped looking past 2009 so I don't know exactly how many years its been since you were rated 42+ in total D or scoring D, but you get my point.

and Ohio state has beaten 3 ranked teams (at the time), but hey who needs defense

You do realize Ohio state has the #5 SOS and LSU the #3 right? It's going to be a **** good game.

LSU will win the game on Saturday, but this nonsense about revenge is laughable. They better concentrate on getting the W and the preparing for the SEC championship game, because the Aggies aren’t Arkansas and have the ability to win the game. Do I think we will? No....Mond will make way too many early mistakes (as usual) to keep it close.

Alabama's defense isn't on the same elite elite tier it has been in the past either, you gave up 40+ points and managed to win, that's good and all but defense wins championships remember. I just think playing with fire like that might get you burned, but we will see soon. Ohio State's defense is good, and so is their offense. They are a balanced team.

Statistically:
Total D - Ohio state #1, LSU #42
Scoring D - Ohio State #1, LSU #43

Total O - LSU #2, Ohio State #6
Scoring O - Ohio State #1, LSU #2
You do realize that aside from a punt return for a TD and the gimmick play where they caught the D looking to the sideline to check their play, bama could have easily been beat by 3 scores.

I agree that the LSU defense hasn't been as good as in years past. But it also hasn't been that bad. Going into the Ole Miss game they were 15thin the country in yards allowed per play. That game sucked for them on defense and they allowed some huge plays but even though it has looked terrible it stastically hasn't been that bad.

As much as I want LSU to beat the aggies by 50, I hope they come out focused like its another game. This isn't their super bowl like it was for the aggies last year. There is so much more to be playing for this year that means way more than trying to embarrass the ags.

Craig wasn't "let go, or told to look elsewhere" he was FIRED the day after NSD.

Dameyune Craig was hired under Les Miles in 2016 as a WR coach. after the epic Aggie 7-OT win, Craig sprinted across the field singling out members of the coaching staff. I personally have nothing against Coach Fisher, the A&M players that night, the fans in attendance, nor the posters on this forum. After the clock struck 0:00, A&M came out the victor. Unfortunately, the post-game actions will always be remembered by a disgruntled former LSU employee who acted immature and added nitroglycerin to an already hostile situation.

carry on ladies, may the best team win on Saturday night

FTR, my Cajuns are 9-2 after skull-dragging TROY 53-3 last weekend. They have an oppty to win 12 games this season which is unheard of for a team full of Boudreaux's, Thibodeaux's, and Hebert's .. GEAUX CAJUNS !

Unless he losses to Texas Tech (and I am not sure even that would do it), he is not getting fired this year unless Texas has a signed contract for Urban Meyer to replace him before hand. I don't see a scenario that CDC would start over next year with a new HFC unless he has a sure thing out there. Herman can change up his staff to buy him one more, maybe two years with progress before any changes would happen.

I have heard the Clemson situation with Dabo being used as a reason to stick with Herman. He changed his OC and DC in years 2 and 3 after going from 9-5 in year 2 to 6-7 in year 3. If anything because CDC didn't hire Herman, he has some time before he needs to make a decision. CDC success is not tied to Herman.

Very well could be the hottest if not referring to actually getting fired. Texas fans had lofty expectations after the Sugar Bowl and he now has lost all of that momentum and good will he had built up.

I am on record as I don't think its as broke as it appears and a couple great hires and changes on the staff, gets this thing right back on track to 10 wins and playing for Big 12 Championships.

LSU is embarrassing no one on Saturday. They’re good, but they’re not that good. We’ve played teams just as good as LSU this year and came out just fine. This game will probably be a 31-28ish type game. I’m guessing a 3-7 point differential.

If anyone thinks herman is getting a pass then theyre not paying attention.
Lots of fans and former players calling for his head.
Hes too stubborn to make changes then he needs to be gone.
I think weve seen his best abilities and they are lacking.
Like I said before you can be an arrogant jerk if you win. Pull that crap and get steamrolled and youll get fired.
So here we are.
Pathetic output.
Quite embarrassing actually

The head butting, the grill, the sideline antics, kissing players, the arrogant tweets and the off field distractions are the things he needs to stop and I think he’ll be fine. You can’t coach at a school like Texas and be an *** clown. I’m all about staying engaged with your players and being a players coach, but you have to keep it somewhat professional. You have to be able to check your ego at the door and show humility after a loss. Don’t be afraid to take the blame for a loss.....I think fans and players would rather hear that than him say he wasn’t out coached when he definitely was. And don’t be afraid to kick a FG on 4th down inside the 20.

LSU is a great environment, especially at night. Gonna be a long road for the Aggies for sure. Possible but not probable. Horns will beat Tech solidly, Herman isn’t going anywhere this year. His coordinators should already be packed for their trip out though. I think Michigan upsets Ohio State for some reason. Season has gone too fast. I will say this, next year you probably don’t want the Aggies on your schedule, gonna be a good football team.

Don't disagree with this. I personally do not think Herman is a great football mind at this point, but it could be salvaged with a couple of good hires and let him be CEO. I'm not sure he is quite the governor that Mack was though. I think you either have to be one or the other(both is an extremely rare commodity), Lou Holtz comes to mind. GP is on the side of a great football mind but terrible 'governor'. I'm also of the opinion that it's not the players, regardless of what everyone says. Texas has plenty of talent to be better than where they are, even with injuries. This is why I feel it's more of a coaching issue, whether its the head man or coordinators.

Fair response. Iíve said it before I thought 10-2 was the floor after the Georgia win and then punching LSU in the mouth like yíall did. Nobody has tested LSU like that this year. Now this

Negative ghost Rider....

Only a fool would bet straight up against #1 team at home no less.....

Ags will cover but probably come up short, ...it's been a brutal schedule ...
You must not have read the rest of the thread.......I thought A&M had already won

Also, I figured Buckeyes were #1?

There is no telling what TH will do but I bet you will be obsessed with it and post 8 or 10 times about it. What will you do if TH leaves?

Oh they will be....

They gave PSU 4 turnovers and gave up a TD on a fumble and still won by 11....

They will show everyone how good they are....

I was in Columbus Saturday and will be in New Orleans for the Championship.....this team is absolutely loaded at every position...
.#1 offense and #1 defense....have to ask the committee why the SEC gets all the love

Screw keeping it respectful. Beat those swamp rats and their pasty quarterback!

Quoted the wrong post.

Well, Ďol Tom did beat the Bulldogs last year, that failure beat the SEC #2. This the same Finebaum that thought Tennessee would compete for a title this year? The same Finebaum that thought Alabama was the greatest team ever going into the CFP? Herman has been disappointing at Texas this year no doubt, but to credit Finebaum is reaching around at best...

Finebaum just wants to be a shock jock. Nothing new with him.

So are the Morris father / son a package deal to TCU? Makes a lot of sense.

The Herman is not going anywhere. He will remove and replace his staff.

The clown shown goes on with Herman.

No inside info recently, but it seems to be looking that way. I would prefer to have one or the other personally. Duggan will be the guy going forward if he stays healthy and don't want any conflict of interest per se. I would love to have Chad as an analyst though if his kid comes on board. Or I wouldn't mind Chad as OC if his kid goes elsewhere. Weird situation. Either way, need a new OC! Wouldn't mind keeping Sonny to be QB coach and recruit, but that's prolly a pipe dream
