    OX Ranch

Well we took my father in law to OX Ranch for his 75th bday for a photo safari. The ranch was amazing. Lots of activities for non hunters and obviously world class animals everywhere on the 18,000 acre property. He thought we were joking when we told him he was gonna drive and shortly after fire a tank off. Lol

I was after Blackbuck, but when this big Nilgai came in on my second sit I knew he was the one. He caught a 700gr arrow with a grim reaper (whitetail special). Slipped it before last rib as he was quartering away to leave. He was down in seconds and didn't go 100y. First big game hunt my son has gone on with me so he was initiated with a little red war paint.

Awesome time, we will absolutely be going back.

That's awesome! Is it true that that used to be the largest ranch in the country?

Not sure, King Ranch is way bigger. My first Nilgai hunt was down there. We were in a 250k pasture.

Before it was parceled out, it was bigger than the King.

Interesting story. Owner sold a hosting site named hostgator in his 20s for a few hundred million. Decided to buy a place in Texas. Had no previous land experience and was not a hunter. My guide told me owner would sell the ranch for 100mil.

I had a kid i coached in baseball hunt that place i believe (Uvalde area?). Said he dropped some coin there. He talked about firing off a tank.
