    Best trailer hitch lock?

Any suggestions? Seems to be a big discrepancy in prices. A lot of them under $40.00 and then a few over $100.00.

The master lock that came on my truck wasn’t very hard to break off when the key stopped working so I would recommend.

I'm looking to upgrade myself. Lots of options out there. I want the most secure that I can find, regardless of the cost.

The two mentioned above are good. Make sure it's one that covers the entire hitch. The ones with a bar over the top can be cut off in about 10 seconds.

Most of the ones you see in stores are absolute junk. I’ve lost the keys to a few and had to break them off. I think it takes longer to unlock them with a key than it does to just break them off. Lol

I’m sure the higher end locks are a lot better, but I just started replacing my hitch pin with a 5/8” Bolt and a couple Nylock nuts.

If they really want the hitch, they’re going to get it, but the nylocks are enough of a pain to make most move along to the next truck. I’ve had a B&W Hitch like that for a few years and never had anybody mess with it.

Only downside to this is if you swap hitches often. Works fine if you run a B&W or similar hitch with multiple balls.

This is what I use, I like them and very universal

Blaylock coupler locks are crafted from industrial strength materials for security and reliability. Made for heavy duty farm equipment and trailers.

I recently switched over to www.boltlock.com after I cut my master hitch lock off in 10 seconds with a battery powered portaband. I found the master lock key a few hours later. These locks are ordered for your brand of truck. It gets keyed to your particular vehicle. So you'll need to keep a key handy if you plan on using the hitch lock with multiple vehicles.
