Hog trap attempt

About to load up a bucket of corn and a wire brush to clean the trigger face on the cage trap (if I don't have any pics of deer in that trap) and get the 2 hog traps set

May set a coon trap and coyote trap too

Will update with pics tomorrow morning if successful

Rode up on the corral trap to untie "door" and had about a 120# boar in the trap. So I rode 4 wheeler up to outside where door was and shot him above the left eye head on with my EDC 9mm as he exited. He piled up outside and went to thrashing around and I got to work baiting and untying door and that tough sucker got up and ran off into the woods bleeding from a head wound.

I don't know if the hollow point blew up on his skull or he just made a last effort run for the woods.

I had shorts and crocs on so I did not pursue into briar and chigger territory. Might make a sweep in the morning after I check traps

I have hit them in nearly the same spot with a .22 and killed them

My buddy said that is one less I have to drag off

Had a big day so little time to post

Had 6 in the box trap about 50-60# ea that have a date with a gentleman who plans to eat them tomorrow morning





nothing in corral trap

Made a sweep through the woods looking for the boar I shot but after the rain that came through about 0430 there was no sign to be found and too soon for the buzzards

Check the corral in the morning and reset the box tomorrow evening
