Corn Storage

Need some ideas on how every one stores bagged corn and protein at the lease. Not ready to purchase a silo yet but would like to keep 15-20 bags high and dry to have on hand.

We use 50 gallon drums. They hold 6ish bags each and keep the rodents and weather out.

I just put it on a pallet and surround it with Just one bite poison and plan on losing about half a bag a week to the Nazi freeloaders

I use a giant ice chest used to ship processed chicken about 600 quarts, the lid is water proof, and it’s easy to get stuff out, and sealed 55gallon drums

I bought a 10' shipping container to store corn and other supplies. Not cheap, but works very well

I tried storing corn in my cargo box trailer.


It did not turn out well.

We use drums, a friend uses a shipping container. Both work good

Any air tight metal container will keep the rats at bay.
Not killing snakes helps with rats.
