Free Deer Hunt for Combat Veteran

As stated. A free deer hunt for a combat veteran. Rifle or bow. Since the hunt is only part of the experience, the hunter may choose a hunting buddy to bring with him/her. It is always more enjoyable to hunt with a friend.

    To be eligible:

Must have been in actual combat.
Must not have another place to hunt other than public land.
Must be physically fit enough to take care of his/her self and their game. (I'm not physically fit enough to be of much help.)

    Rules:

Hunt and follow all state regulations and laws.
Respect the property and my family.
DO NOT SHOOT THE THREE LEGGED DOE.

What you will need to bring:

Your hunting gear. What ever you need to be able to hunt.
    Personal items.
Bring any special snacks and/or drinks you would like.

    We will provide:

    Lodging.
My wife looks forward to cooking and providing meals.
Hunting stands and feeders if you like.

Anyone qualifying and interested please make it clear on this thread. (No PMs please) I will keep a list of names from this thread and on August 31, I will let one of my grand children draw the lucky name from the hat.

Once the person has been chosen we can work out dates to hunt that will work for everyone.

If I have forgotten anything I'll post it up later.

Must they be a TBH member? If not, I know my brother David would love this opportunity. He's a combat vet from Iraq that was shot in the face with an AK and it exited out the back of the neck. He's never made a full recovery, physically or mentally, but he's been on a few hunts since and has had a lot of fun.

If non TBH'ers are allowed, please throw David into your pool.

Thanks for this, what an awesome gesture.

Combat is combat. If you'd like your name in the hat I'll be glad to put it in.

                      Thank you for your service.

Does not have to be a TBH member. Your brother's name is in the hat and tell him thank you.
