Neat Day So Far

Still ghillie hunting.

There were deer and pigs all over the field when I got here. Had to sneak in through the brush, which was a pain. I've had 4 doe, 3 small pigs, and a dink 8 point l could have shot so far. The 8 point and I had lunch together. He fed in the corn pile while I ate a PB&J. Never knew I was here. LoL. He just left.

I would shoot a doe in a heartbeat right now, but the MIL still don't allow it.

No mature bucks showed themselves. Other than a few doe, and the one little 8 point, I only had the three little piggies close enough to shoot. They all got a pass, but I still got to watch a lot of game.

Tomorrow's a new day.

No pigs today.

Had the same little 8 point from yesterday posing for me for a good 30 minutes though. He gave me every perfect angle shot on both sides from 10 yards. I had to bite my lip to keep from shooting him.

9 doe came by as well.

Going again Sunday, but I'll have to move to a different spot due to the wind forecast to be out of the north.
