I think that is fair. I have lost a buck in the past and it was a no brainer to me. That was my buck for the year and I told the guys that I hunt with that was the case.

Not a bad rule but there is a danger in having it on some leases. If someone shoots and does not think it is a good shot they may not want to tell anyone they shot. Instead of asking for help to look they may just keep it a secret and not look as long. It depends on trust and who you are hunting with.

Draw blood and its your kill, not only fair but necessary. The rule encourages leasers to not only site in there equipment but practice often to ensure accuracy.

I can see both sides to this. I am not a fan of the rule but can see where it can certainly cause some issues if it is not in place with leasers. A lot depends on the person shooting and type of leasers on the place. overall seems fair to me though

Never had that rule, but that's the way I rolled. If I drew blood then that buck tag was a good as used. Probably why I shoot so many does
