Default Buccee's tea

Hi, I'm Kevin and I'm addicted to tea.
Mostly unsweet, but I do sometimes get half and half, at restaurants.

I LOVE Buccee's tea!

Does anyone work at, or know someone that works at a Buccee's, that can find out what brand of tea they use?

That tea is a money maker. It likely generates more store traffic then lottery tickets.

I too wish I could get my hands on it.

It is amazing for sure! I think the cheap drinks (sweet tea), cheap ice and clean bathrooms gets them in the store and then wasteful spending begins!! Plus, they don't sell lottery tickets to my knowledge.

After going through the Royal Coffee website, I found what I figured is the plain Jane tea. They call the bags specifically "Royal Cup Signature Tea Bags", or something like that. I looked for that on Amazon, and it was there. Even the images matched what was on the Royal Coffee website.

It'll be here tomorrow!

Keep us posted. I like the green tea from Panera Bread but it is custom and cannot be purchased.

I ordered some of the Royal cup signature tea & it arrived today. I am going to make some here shortly. I got 100 tea bags & each bag makes 1 gallon of tea.

Same here only I got mine Saturday. I made a gallon of sun tea. My recommendation is to cut it back to about 3 1/2 quarts. I felt like the gallon was a little weak. The taste was right just not strong enuf to mimic the Buc-eeís flavor.

You are correct, it was a little weak. I will cut back on the H2O.

This thread got burried too far to respond on my phone.
I did get mine in, and made a gallon. I think the only way you can order it is in the 100 count of big bags, like we all got. I made it on the stove, like normal. Two quarts of water, brought to a boil, cut it off, drop in tea bag and let it soak for 15ish minutes. 1/2 cup of sugar for the gallon and it was pretty dang close to the mix I do at Buccee's.

Tina is scared to drink it because all the tea bags are just in that big plastic bag. She thinks it's infected with Covid ... I guess I've got 99 more gallons of tea to drink!

Yep, that's the reason why they don't sell them. But, he don't need to. Great business plan. I live near his first store.

They have the WORST sweet tea. They need to step up their game. That's the only downfall of Buccee's. Way behind with Whataburger, Chik Fila, Golden Chick and so on and so on.

That's how I roll at the lake/beach/summer deer camp. If working at deer camp, I use old school lemon lime gatorade rather than lemonaide.

ha. I like Buccee's coffee and only drink it black. I use my own RTIC coffee mug and cashier always asks "hot or cold drink"? I asked once why they asked and was told they charge more for a hot drink cause you have access to all the coffee flavor condiments. I only drink it BLACK! So, would it be wrong to tell them cold drink if I walked around the store a bit and let it cool off?

Never tried the tea. The problem with Buc-ee's is that you start to like something there and then they change it. They used to have some habanero pickle chunks that were awesome but they don't sell them any more. Look at how many time they have changed cooler vendors.

Bill Miller's used Royal Cup as well. I've been making it at home for years. The key is not to get the water too hot. Turn the heat off when the bubbles start to release to the surface. Let it sit for a minute or two, add the tea bag and steep for 12 minutes.

If the water is too hot the tea will be bitter.

Aerated water also improves the flavor. I put it in an empty milk jug and shake it up good before heating.

I'm a sucker for their fish sandwiches. God they are so good.

I've got it timed out pretty good now when I head back home to Tulsa......
Leave Houston early in the mornin.
Stop at the Madisonville location to re up on coffee and use the bathroom.
Next stop is the one in Ennis. Grab an unsweet tea and potty again.
Then Stop at the new one in McKinney and grab a fish sammich. Mmmmmm good.

It'd be a whole lot better if there weren't 872 people at each one of them.
