I have done quite a bit of research and I'm wanting to buy a recurve, I'm going to try to find a good used bow in the classifieds but first need some advice... What bows do y'all recommend? My dl on my compound is 26.5" at 70 lbs

Stay with a bow in the low 40's, so you can actually work on your form without killing your shoulder. Recurves are no fun if there are so heavy, that it's painful after just a few shots. Speaking from experience, my first recurve was 53 lbs., I just got my recurve back from Black Widow, had it taken down from 45 lbs. to 42 lbs. Much more enjoyable to shoot. Good luck.

I started out on a Martin x200 @ 55 lbs. im a big guy that shot compounds at 60-70 for 20+ years. Ill say this, you need to start at 40-50 max. Trad bows are a whole nother world and it took me much longer to get accurate than it should have. And, 40-50 will kill anything you look at in north America. After 7 years i still use that Martin. I have 3 trad bows and the only one that has a kill on it is the Martin and it has about 7 deer on it.
There is no greater joy or accomplishment in bow hunting.

Glove or tab
Quiver on or off the bow
Carbon, aluminum, or wood arrows

......
The list goes on and on.
You have to experiment and learn what is right or best for you!
