It is hard to beat the $14 old timer. I have cleaned alot of deer with mine and love it.

gerber gator,,,, even in stainless they hold an edge and sharpen easily,,, never found one i like better until my wife just bought me a damascus steel knife for our 35th anniversary at the fort worth gun show last month,,, amazing and rivals the gerber

My favorite knives were gifts from people I love:

I have a Buck 103, it was a gift from my buddy. It is absolutely fantastic. Razor sharp, and fits good in my hand.

My brother gave me a Benchmade. The rubber handles are easy to grab onto.

I have several others, but these are my favorites

A Buck 110 is hard to beat for $70. Their Bucklite line is a good value as well.

I've got an old Green Handled old timer ..
That has cleared everything for 25 years..
It wasn't 15 bucks I bet.. I dont remember where I got it.
Holds an edge like no other...

Outdoor edge with the changeable blades. Sharpest knife around for the purpose. Cheap($30). And new blades are cheap too.
