Do they 'bite' or do they 'sting'?
They look like what nightmares are made of.

They have a pair of jaws, they clamp on with those and hold on tight and inject venom when they do. I have been bitten by the little brown ones, those big green *******s, I don't want to know what that feels like. Where my mother used to live, she used to find those things on a regular basis, some of them were huge, typically minimum of 4". That one on the broom, looks about like what she would typically find. She kept one of the largest ones she found in a jar for a while.

Chinese Red-Headed Centipede, found almost worldwide. They get big and pack a punch, there's even been one death attributed to it.

I hate the @#$@ things!!! We used to catch them in Jack County when I was a kid. Luckily never got popped. My dad says he remembers me catching one 14" long. Longest one I can remember was just over 12". I would put them in a milk carton (lid cut off) and place them in the freezer. Took a frozen one for show and tell back in 3-4 grade.

Yeah, no. That's a gas and match thing. Fudge those things are worse than spiders and scorpions. I'll be awake all night.
