    The one with velcro sucks

Only if you pay attention and baby it so it does not get bent ever so slightly away from the port.

Had the Brass Goat hooked up to my AR when I busted these about a week back.

All my brass was accounted for and the rifle functioned just fine.

I'll just tape a tobacco sack over the ejection port!

Caldwell, just strap it on tight.

I have also hung my cap off the scope turret in order to keep the brass somewhat contained.

Caldwell here also. Not too bulky and works like a charm.

Yeah the velcro straps tend to come apart after slipping on and off a lot. Probably replace mine with the kind that mounts to the rail.

The Brass Goat is the best thing you can buy right now.

So I got the Brass Goat a short time ago.
                          Here's my review:
It's great! It snaps right onto the magazine well (of any mil-spec AR 223/556) and it's low profile, which was my main criterion.
The little box is detachable and just snaps in & out.

My only complaint with the brass goat is that the cases are loud rolling around in there. It’s not a big deal but it would be nice to come up with a way to put something in there that would take the rattle out. As of now, we just dump brass in a bag after every group of hogs we shoot.

Does it only work with .223?
My AR's identify as valkyrie and grendel variety.
