Very impressive! I love the design! Last year I modified my smoke stack and collector just as you have yours. It works great!!

Main frame done. Cooking chamber saddles not welded, but just sitting for reference. Most components are arriving Thursday. Just in time for a long weekend!

I love it. Did you calculate the tongue weight before you welded on the axle or just place it where it would look nice?

Rough calculation based on 60/40 rule, but tail light and fender placement played a big part.

Nice work. I've got a 10' chuck of 36" pipe I need to start a build with. Only problem with a pit on wheels is everyone wants to borrow it.

Every time I open one of these DIY threads I feel less capable. Incredible build, how many hours would you estimate you have in it?

You will probably be running it with that firebox door open. Not that vent. Have a 250 “Franklin” style that needs that much air. Tried to post pic but can’t. Think about stack size vs air inlet. Good looking pit

Thanks for the compliment. I ran a 5 hour test run before paint at 225 degrees. The pics are the firebox vent setting for that temp and blue smoke out of stack.

Haven’t used a track burner in over 20 years. Great satisfaction having the sparks flowing just in front underneath ( guess you know what I mean). Great looking build.
