Hands down the best grocery store fried chicken. Caldwell is better than Rockdale though. Sunday morning around 10 is a good time to get it.

Yessir. Only had a couple bad batches. The last time I had it was Easter. I couldn't eat it...literally couldn't chew it. Just like everything else, it can't be perfect every time, but it is more often than not.

ever since the pandemic we switched to B&B, great chicken

used to like Church's deals but they closed here, and popyeyes was ok but DANG their pieces of chicken got smaller and smaller, not even fryers, tiny pieces.
Krogers is ok if you like chicken blood dripping out.

Stick with B&B

No Brookshire Bro’s around here. Around DFW I’ve found that any Asian owned fried chicken joint especially Lisa’s knows how make a bird sing! Asian owned fried chicken joints could whoop a Williams nine days from Sunday! IMO. Williams can get down on a good fried bird in their own right. Ain’t heard of Williams? Sorry for your loss. No Lisa’s chicken? **** your luck.

So some of y'all are referencing Brookshires but the OP states Brookshire Brothers? They are NOT one in the same...so which is it? I've never tried either but I like a good fried yardbird.

We don’t have one close but my wife brought home some Walmart fried chicken a few years ago and it was awesome. We call it Chinese chicken because everything at Walmart is Chinese.

Brookshire Brothers is the one I was asking about and have never had any.

BB is definitely a different store than Brookshires.
