PSA Bottle water shortage!

This will be an issue quickly. We go through a pallet a week and none is to be found. Stores that do have it are limiting quantities. We buy wholesale and again everyone is out!!

This is for job site crews. Looks like we will go back to coolers and paper cups. Problem is its a pain with the OSHA regs and steps you have to take. Then you still need to find potable water on site.

Any one here sell water?

Walmart in N Fort Worth was cleaned out yesterday.

I believe it is because of water wells drying up due to the extended drought. Many people are start to load up on bottled water

Brought me a pallet of 20-25 cases of 40 bottles yesterday and he took the top 2 layers for himself

I was noticing that the last few weeks in stores. Last year, this time of year, there was a little shortage because they didn't have plastic for bottles. That might be a reason now.

Trying to find plastic ware at the store now is hard. Some days no forks and other days now spoons. Here for the last month there has been no plastic knives. I think its just supply chain issues across the board.

Due to possible vindictive employee we must tape the lid close, date the tape, log the fill, and sign off.

Looking into watering stations that are OSHA approved.

Our delivery yesterday was minus all bottled water and canned water, this is the 3rd time .
Told my wife we needed to fire sparklets and find a new company, looks like bottled and canned water is just in short supply

Yup, the tape and seal rule is one that most GCs and employees want to see. Not a requirement. But here ya go.

Maybe be less crappy plastic in the waterways & everywhere from sorry people. just drink tap & put in your own container or water cooler. I was at one of the places I wade fish last week & it just made me sick to see all the plastic water & soda pop bottles on the ground. It wouldn't bother me one bit if the made it like bottles in the old days. Return for deposit & charge about a dollar a bottle deposit. MAYBE some would clean up.

Even if they bring their own we as owners or job site supers have to provide it also. OSHA is obviously on the employees side. The whole water cooler thing is a PIA.

Get with a company like this. They are turn key replenishing ice, coolers, and water on your jobsite daily. We use them here at the refinery. No telling how many thousands of bottles of water are consumed here per day with 3-4 thousand people here on an average day.

There are others around besides Baytown Ice. This is the best way to go. Plus, no filthy hands in the cooler if you use a dip net to get the bottles out.

There have been a lot of boil water notices going around. So just because you pay the bill doesn’t always mean that you’ve got drinking water out of the faucet.

Last I heard was there is a shortage of plastic bottles. Not just for bottled water but also for all kinds of plastic bottles.
