I got the maverick six shooter and love them. But looking at the Kirvoman blind, that looks like a better deal. Less assembly and stouter.

My favorite bow blind I have seen is called a “big country” sold at West Texas game feeders in Angelo. That or I have seen some awesome homemade blinds made from water tanks.
Favorite gun blind is hands down the “potbelly” blind. 360 view good windows and doors. I love mine. |

Ranch King and Krivoman are the only blinds I will buy!
Ranch king is luxurious, spacious but extremely expensive. My 6x6 on an 8ft platform was about $5500. I'll get one more Ranch King this fall. Krivoman are awesome. I put them on platforms with carpeted floors and Muddy chairs. They are AMAZING. Will get getting more this next season. Very cost effective, well made and AMAZING customer service. I also have a 4x6 Boss Buck blind. Had it for 4 years now with no issues. I do put a coat of paint on it every other year…. They are made in Bryan/College Station and can be customized if you call. Buddy of mine bought two (2) last year with 5’ bases. He chose to upgrade to the slide style windows and is planning to replace them for flip up due to noise.

I have to say the M150 is a pretty amazing hang on to hunt out of. Light and easy to pack in, easy to hang and level, massive platform for maneuvering and the most comfortable seat in the woods. I love mine.

One of the guys I hunt with has several ASF Big Chingon blinds and they are very nice. I can't imagine needing anything more. They have some combo bow/rifle setups where there are bow windows in the corners and rifle windows between them.
I think the Krivoman blinds look really good too but I have not hunted out of one yet. I'd like to have a couple for bow blinds. |

Build your own.
I actually priced one for a lease mate yesterday. Even though wood has gone up I can still build him a super solid (but heavy) 5x8 on skids for 1500$ I though that was high. Until he told me his 4x6 Fiberglass was 1600-1700 last year and he’s seeing the same ones now for closer to or above $2000 |

Tagged. I bought some Krivoman blinds this year so I'm covered for the bow blinds. I'm in the market for a nice rifle stand though. Interested to see the pros and cons of a Fiberglass vs Metal blind.

I have a couple different popular rifle blinds, and I think that ASF are the best for the money. Not to say that RK or Atascosa aren't good, but value wise I'd buy another ASF little or big Chingon first.
For a large permanent bow bling, Krivoman is where its at (don't own one, but have seen them) |

Bitter Creek hands down. I had a 6x6 on a 5 ft tower and wish I never sold it. They are 100% Aluminum and can be moved by 2 people. Windows are big enough to bow hunt out of. You can actually hunt with the windows closed and open when time to shoot as they are super quiet. I have a Nature Blind and will probably be selling it to get another Bitter Creek.

I have used and like many of the blinds mentioned above, however here are my recs:
I use Krivoman for a bow blind, and Dillon MFG. for rifle blinds. Many others have touted the Krivoman above, and they are correct. The Dillon is a great blind and does save you some $$ over the others. They are all fiberglass and use Deer View windows. No, they don't have all of the bells and whistles as the others listed, but the price isn't up there there either (A 4'x6' blind is under $2200). We have 6+ on our lease, many for over 8 years, and all it needs is a little paint every 5+ years and we are good to go. |

I’m looking for a bow blind on a 8’-10’ tower.
The setup will be in the middle of an island of trees with a clearing in front and a smaller clearing in back. There may be shots behind me too so I need a 270 or 360 degree view. I was looking at a Redneck ghillie , redneck box, or a Krivoman. Does anyone know what the field of view is on a Krivo? |

1. Krivoman.
2. The Maverick XL is worth a look too. It’s bigger and better built than the Maverick 6 shooters are. 3. Tank blinds. Not of these are great guns blinds. I have no gun blind recommendations . |

I have 2 Atascosa. A Krivoman and a mid range Texas Hunter Supply and a high end Texas Hunter Supply.
I don’t like the Atascosa windows. They are open or they are closed. The build quality is fantastic. The Krivoman you can put anywhere with minimal tools. We rolled the last one 100 yards. You couldn’t get a mule or truck where we put it. I like the windows. Unlike the Atascosa you can partially close this window or that window to adjust for wind, shot or scent. Let a breeze in if your hot. Close one if it’s cold and a draft is killing you. It’s solid. But if your big like me it’s just gonna be you in there. The Texas Hunter Supply high end for bow hunting is hard to beat. It’s huge. Adjustable windows. Never gonna rust. 3 times the price of the Krivoman. I looked at the ranch king. West Texas seems to destroy anything made of wood. I guess because there is no moisture. Chairs at camp. Old blinds, our little deck. Everything becomes brittle every so many years and starts cracking. The wood inside the ranch king worried me for the cost. I spent a lot on the Texas Hunter Blind. In fact it’s the only one I paid retail for and didn’t get second hand. I don’t regret it at all. The lesser Texas Hunter Blind Is great also. Adjustable windows. Quiet. Seems like it will last forever. Really packable. If you don’t have alot of help or access is tough this one is hard to beat. I like it’s a 360 view. It’s the only blind we have that has a replaceable wood floor. But the panels the blind is made from look new like the day we got it. I’m the second owner and it’s probably 10 years old at least. I put a new floor and I expect that one will last 10-15 years. Whatever you buy stake them blinds down. Once they start falling over they are never the same. |

Man, for something you spend so little time in over the course of a year, these “hunting blind” prices are ridiculous. We’ve built almost every blind at our place and some of them are 6x8. Most of the materials have been from scrap lumber or repurposed from another project. They all are much nicer and quieter than most of the metal or fiberglass stands I’ve sat in at TTH or feed stores and at 1/10th the price.
So my answer is the best stand is the one you build. |
