They have some really big cats in that country! I've hunted elk with a bow and it was always kind of scary heading back to camp in the dark in cat country!

Excellent job! Having had a similar encounter with a black bear with Cubs i understand how crazy the situation can be. The one thing you cannot do is panic.

That's why I carry a pistol during bow season in Colorado.. I'd rather have a gun and not need it than the other way around.. Comd to think about it That's why I carry everyday.. Good job by the young lady ..
