    Ambidextrous Safety for Ruger AR

I'm a lefty and want an ambi-safety for it. Is the install hard? I already have an after-market trigger in it.

Really simple. If you can change a trigger, you can swap the ambi safety in. Tons of videos online

Don't know anything about Ruger "AR's", but if it's mil-spec, it takes literally 5 minutes... I'm a lefty too... easiest to change it when you are changing triggers, but it's no big deal at all...

Pull the grip off and remove the spring and detent for the safety.

Remove the trigger if needed by pushing both pins out.

Remove one safety lever and slide it in. Verify the orientation is correct so the detent hits where it’s needed. And install the lever back.

        Put the trigger back in.

Install spring, detent, and grip. Tighten.

        Done.

Thx trophy8--just gonna verify which safety works (or won't work) with my after-market trigger, then I'll go for it But, first I'm going out tonight to do a hog---need pork for venison salami.
