    Leather Portfolio for my wife....

Got started today on a leather portfolio for my wife. She has always pushed me to pursue my leather work, and even got me a leather sewing machine for my birthday recently. So, I figured the first project off the new machine should be hers. She's been wanting/needing a portfolio, so here we go.....

This is the bottom right corner on what will be the front panel

Added this for the top left of the front panel

    Antiqued...

Still a lot of work to go, but this new machine really cuts down my time working on it. Where the "ghost line" is on the left will be a contrast color leather that will connect the front and back panels later on. More to come....

Well, didn't get as many more "in progress" pics as I wanted to as I was trying to get this done for a trip she is taking this week. Here it is as it sits no complete. This was my first project not hand stitching. The machine makes life so much easier, but there is definitely a bigger learning curve using it. This is also the first portfolio I've done with the separate spine piece. I kinda like it....

Very nice!! I would really love to learn how to do the sheridan style carving for my sheaths but I just suck at it...haha

Thanks guys. Couldn't imagine trying Sheridan style on a knife sheath. Need some smaller sized stamps for sure

I'm always amazed at the artisans on TBH. This is an amazing piece of leatherwork and your skill and eye towards detail are something that is hard for a dolt like me to comprehend. Beautiful work.
