    3d tournament at Hunters Extravaganza

Has anyone attended the 3d tournament at the texas trophy hunters extravaganza? Never been to the event and was wondering how it is?

Didn't know there was one, haven't been in several years though.

I am interested in going. Spoke to a rep and starts at 4 on Friday. At close on Saturday they pick finalists to shoot Sunday.

I might have to check it out. If anything it would be a learning experience

Is it a pop up tourney or regular 3D?

Two years ago it was a 20 target indoor 3D shoot out to 40 yards. So it goes pretty quick.
You can shoot it as many times as you want. In the bowhunter class you can use a slider pin.
No upper or lower 12’s, just the center. They did a good job on it last year for what it is. If you are already going to the Extravaganza I’d say do it. It’s a good way to get some 3D practice in and not eat up the whole day.

Once again this was two years ago so it could change.

Several years ago they used to do the pop up, but in more recent years it has just been standard 3D.

So if you register, do you get assigned a time to shoot? Then the top however-many come back Sunday for the finals? Prizes?

Trad is rolled into the hunter class.

You don’t win anything at the show. If you qualify you go to BPS in Missouri later in the year to win the prizes.

Not how it was previously. Buddy won and got a pair of binos
