    First blood

This young man had never been hunting before. Ive known him since he was 11 and joined our scout troop. He has worked with me part time since high school while he attends the local community college. Well versed in gun safety and a capable shot, learned in scouts, he had seen enough of my dead animal pics and decided he could put up with me a day or two outside work. So we got here late yesterday and decided to check out a couple of feeders cruising on the electric cart. This morn he sat in a blind and I corned the road for him.
He got a nice fat little sow last evening and a nice eater boar this morning. Ran down a little piglet but momma was growling in the brush so we let him go. Two shots, two kills. Finally drew his first blood. Worked with him on cleaning them and he's taking them home to the freezer.Click image for larger version

Eater boar? Is there such a thing? Asking for a friend.

Most are edible unless you're looking for a reason not to.
