$50K isn't enough for me to run the gauntlet of idiots. Always somebody out there wanting to hang a good ole boy.

I think he had some help to get out of the area long before the search was organized. Swam the river to get to Mexico.

If the details are out there I havent seen them - has it been explained exactly how the guy out of his restraints, overpowered the guards and got away? I know less than nothing about transporting convicts but that seems fairly easy to prevent.
