As mentioned, Mom’s and Ray’s Drive In are the best burger joints. Ralph and Kacoos for cold beer on the patio and food with a Cajun flare. Tia Juanitas is very good, similar to R&K’s. Manhattans downtown has fantastic Italian food, a little pricey but worth it. Herraduras is the best Tex Mex IMO, Del Rio is a close second.

Chain restaurants: Cheddars, Chilis, Logan’s, Olive Garden, Outback, Cotton Patch, Newks, McAlisters. If you are in to Sushi, Sake has some of the best sushi I’ve eaten, and I’ve had a lot of sushi at a lot of different places. There is a brewery downtown, Angelina Brewing Co, good local beer (they have several IPA’s if you like those, and a couple of wheat beers), and their food is really good. Boil N Go for crawfish, BYOB there

58J is a regular spot for me since it is 2 miles from my camp. Their menu is hit and miss. But, the beer is cold

Plus, it is a good old ice house setting.

58J has crawfish on the weekends.
I have gotten some really good crawfish at Crawdaddy’s in Diboll.

Their pizza and quesadillas are good. I live in Huntington and know the owner so im out there a good bit

Mom's or Rays for grease and a side of burger and fries
And most of the locals have a cult like following for Del rio, which I can't stand and I live here.

Pelican Point for Seafood. Plan on waiting a while if you go during prime hrs.
A little hidden gem is the Angelina County Airport cafe.
Haven’t been there in a while, but if it’s still open, it’s worth a visit!

Tia Juanita’s Fish Camp, Ralph & Cucoo’s, Moms Diner (Frank Street) good burgers & fried pork chops), Hole in One (Quality Inn on 59) has good steaks.

I had no idea there is a Tia Junanita’s there? Very good to know. Love that place!

Doesn’t help you now but they will have a Texas Roadhouse in about 4-5 months.

Tia’s does a solid job and has some really good food.

Great thread. I work in Lufkin a couple days a month and never go eat anywhere, just get my horses done and haul arse. Might stick around when I'm there next week and try that Italian joint.
