      The freeze, and the hurricanes. I get an update every week from my supplier in Louisiana. They are thinking that it may be from all of the mosquito spraying they are doing because of the hurricanes. Fruge seafood does a weekly update on their Facebook. Their year to date harvest is still down 60% as of last week.

                Like most highly perishable products, price of crawfish is based on supply and demand. Lots of demand now, particularly during lint. Texas demand especially drives the market. Prices should drop some after Easter.
