Glad I read this post again. I thought it was last month and had missed it. I sure hope to be there.

If I have a springy rest on my bow. Would this rest make my bow shot in the Olympic division?

Yes - any adjustable rest will require shooting in the “barebow” class. (Formerly the Olympic class)

I will be canoeing with my scout troop so I'm out.

                          Are binos allowed?
Probably a horrible idea for me to come out and play (trying to completely change my shot routine) but I might just give it a whirl.

Binos are OK as long as they are not range-finding. I use them because I can no longer see the scoring rings clearly beyond about 15 yards. Come on out and join us! We always set a fun course.
