Valedictorian

Wanted to brag about my son Grant Martin. Today he received official notice that he is the Valedictorian of ORHS in The Woodlands. He made his mind up in 8th grade to achieve Valedictorian and he has accomplished his goal. He is now talking with a couple different colleges but not sure where he will land. This past year was a rough one for him but he knew what he wanted.
Super proud of Grant and know he has a great future ahead of him.

Congratulations! As a former high school principal, I understand first hand what kids dedicate themselves to in order to achieve at that level. It is far more than just God given intellect (it certain helps), but the hard work and consistent years of dedication and commitment it takes to be at the top should be applauded. Congrats dad, keep on supporting him and his dreams and hopefully he will take good care of you one day!

Very true. Senior year my son did not want to miss school to hunt because it could affect his class status. He did good and got a full academic scholarship.
