Minn Kota vs Motor Guide

I recently bought a 22 1/2’ bay boat and had it outfitted with Lowrance graphs. Now I need a 36v 60” shaft trolling motor.

The motor guide makes sense since I’m running Lowrance electronics. I need I-Pilot and Spot Lock for striper and white bass.

Is the Motor Guide quality enough to spend the $2k on.?

Motor guide was my favorite tm for a long time. Now they are years behind in my opinion. I now have a garmin and love it. The ultrex is a good motor but I think they have recently had some issues.

Mine Kota per my service manager friend at a very large boat dealership.

He also said the Lowrance motors are greatness.

Minn kota ultrex is without a doubt the golden standard.

I’ve had mine Kota and motor guide and have broke em both! That said I love my Ultrex. Xi5 was decent for fishing brushpiles but fishing timber and chasing fish in open water it was terrible!
