My hunter decided to sleep in this morning so she Gave me the morning off [emoji3060]. I’ve killed enough critters this season I didn’t go out and hunt.

We’re loaded up and headed home. But first, gotta hit up the best turkey sammich joint in Frio county.

Missed at 36. Dang thing wouldn’t be still. Could see my red nocturnal out there about 75 yards down the fairway, so hopped out of the blind and ran and got it. Used the cover of the rain for stealth. Now my snake boots are like snow shoes.

Back in the blind and reloaded. Come back big dog. Bet I don’t miss twice.

Ok, lemme explain. Here’s my excuse and I’m sticking to it:

Ranged him at 30 yards to the right of the feeder. Drew. He moves 15 yards left. Now he is 3 or 4 yards left of the feeder. He moved diagonally away (which I did not realize since I was looking at him through my peep), so I shot 30, he was now at 40. Buzzed his chest hairs.
