Good Lord almighty that place is by far the worst steak house on planet earth and a royal embarrassment to the great state of TEXAS. If you want a complete azz whippin then by all means go there.
I think we could be good friends I absolutely agree with your assessment of the Big Texan.

Always heard that, but I never did make it over there when my brother and law and sister lived out that way sadly.

I lived in Fritch for a few years and we ate there often. Just a cool experience all around, and the food was great too.

Even further out in BFE is "Simply Country" in beautiful downtown Moss Hill. they have a pretty good ribeye and shrimp combo on Friday and Saturday nights too. Plus this place is Heaven for homemade pies...
I don’t really have a classification as what is proper BFE and what isn’t, but mainly just looking for out of the way joints that aren’t in the city. Then again I’m not against any good recommendations in the city either. I love a good steak regardless of its location haha

Haven't been to Lowake in years, but I do remember it being excellent.

If this is the case, the best steak I have ever eaten is at Dino's in downtown Grapevine.

Aint much down that way, everthing you eat on down thru there will involve a tortilla.

A little north of that, but Triple C in Devine is a personal favorite.

Bill's Cafe in Kingwood, TX has a pretty good Tbone. It's a dive and I think it's the only steak they serve. Great burgers too. It may not be BFE, but you wouldn't happen on it unless you were looking for it.
