I have a few of his kind in the freezer. These birds are from the north. They will be fine.

Their species has survived ages of this, so has ours.

we've found 3 Robins, 2 mocking birds, and 2 wrens so far. Tried to lay them next to the fire pit near seed but they were pretty much gone.

I always leave some Japanese persimmons on the tree for winter travelers. They found a buffet this am. I also have 5 seed feeders hanging. No shortage of customers.

I have a sloppy dog that dumps food out of his bowl. I stopped cleaning it up after I saw several birds come on to the back porch and eat the mess of kibble

I have 5 feeders going, fed 40 lbs. in the last week. Out of seed now, and store is closed. They are eating 5 suet cakes a day also.

Having to refill water bowl often , when it freezes.

BS, WalMart had seed yesterday, Lowes as well. Seed was easier to find than diesel anti-gel!

We feed a lot of birds up here in Iowa. We go thru over 50lbs of seed and a lot of suet each week.

We have goldfinch, purple finches, juncos, cardinals, bluejays, house finches, red bellied woodpeckers, downy woodpecker, nut hatches, kestrels. In the spring robins, blue birds, black capped chickadee, tufted titmouse, red wing black birds and barn swallows. We keep a bird bath heater in the fountain to keep it thawed.

We also have hawks, owls and bald eagles but they don't generally come near the feeders.

I was on 820 north of Fort Worth yesterday. I watched a robin flying over (pretty high up)- all the sudden he does a nose dive and falls on the interstate. He was laying on his back stone dead/ not moving anyway. Picked up a 30 pound bag of seed before I got home. Also raked out snow on a large area on my lawn.
