    85 gallon drums?

Anyone know of a place that sells 85 gallon drums besides buying brand new?

Good luck when I was looking even the used ones were $50 or more. Ended up going with an extended 55gal to make it a 95 gal.

Used 85gal drums are harder to find than hen’s teeth. I bought 2 new ones from Dallas Steel Drums on Singleton Blvd when I built my feeders several years back. Ivanite (Barrett) is a manager (or owner?) there. You might PM him

I bought new as well from same location. The general purpose of a salvage drum is contain a spill from another leaking drum. Many are not reuseuble becaus of what they were used to contain. Most use plastic for that now. So not a lot around to refurbish.

                  85 gallon drums?

Been looking for about 6-7 years. They are like looking for a pot of gold used.

                  Good luck.

Those are a PiTA to fill and deal with. We still have a 55 gallon and a half barrel stacked that needs to go. It’s lasted for 10 years but it’s time to get another stand and fill.

There’s a place in Dallas you can get new 85s for 120-130$. If you build your own stuff, that’s still a better deal than any alternative of building your own “hopper”. I think Karl at Ultramatic Feeders still has lids and funnels for them.

Yes he does. I just bought internal funnels and lids for the two 85gal stand and fills I built.
Around $45 ea funnel and lid. ($90 for both)
