It seems like an innocent enough mix up. I think a warning at first is reasonable. If he still comes back, then it's time to step things up.

Honestly looks to me a simple mistake. Yall are pretty **** brutal. The dude is obviously clueless by his attire. I'm sure he shoots a crossbow and just made an honest mistake. He doesn't look like a guy purposely trespassing and knowingly hunting another man's property.

Just looks like a regular goober just trying to enjoy the outdoors and wants to give this hunting thing a shot with his new cell cam and 500 fps xbow he csn shoot out to 100 yds

we caught him! He was someone that wanted on our lease, I wasn't available to show it to him, so another member did. We showed him all our pics and the area that was available and he decided to pass. He called me after I posted his pic everywhere and told me that was him in the pic and said he was sorry, but he just wanted to see if we really had the deer I showed him pics of. I gave all his info to GW and he is giving him a Class C misdemeanor ticket.

IMO this is not good news if all he gets is a $500 max ticket where there's a 90% chance he can just go to DA or judge or write a letter and pay $100-200

This is why they all risk poaching. $2,500 plus expenses plus a lot of work for a lease...Or low odds of getting caught and if you do get caught pay a $200 ticket.

Working the streets I personally or assisted in catching 3 poachers. ALL of which caught with guns. Two on properties leased or given permission. One on school district land.

Wardens contacted on all 3. All three wrote tickets and let go. One dude was caught by a teenage kid and his dad. The young hunter had a nice deer on cam and was hunting him when he saw the poacher who had a gun during bow season
