Yesterday was the best visit of the week! Alecia had her eye's open all day and was more responsive. I would tell her something and she would nod her head. I got to talk to the doc and he showed me her charts and graphs on the computer showing her steady improvement. I didn't understand half of what he was saying, but I knew it all good. When I went to leave, I leaned over and gave her a kiss and told her a good kiss would make her feel better. She actually smiled a little and nodded her head. I slept a little better last night.

Well, yesterday was not good. Alecia had some blood in her stool so they did an endoscopy to see if it is coming from the upper GI. It's not. She's on a ventilator to help her breath now. Hopefully it is due to the anesthesia and will get better. This going back and forth from positive days to negative days is about to wear me out.

Friday was a lot better. Alecia is still on the ventilator but it is to help exercise her lungs. She can breath on her own though. She was back to keeping her eyes open and responding when I said something to her. My son got to visit her and when she saw him, I believe she perked up a bit. She was glad to see him. She's been knocked out on his previous visits. When I left, I gave her a kiss and winked at her and she tried to wink back. I just about lost it. I'll slow down on the updates until anything major happens. The up's and down's are just gut wrenching. Thanks again for all the prayers.
