The first one is a uniface "thumb" scraper. The second one might have been some kind of hole punch with that broken tip on top. Not sure otherwise but it's definitely been worked and it's the right kind of flint. Both are cool finds. You might have a camp around where you found them.

Thank you very much for the information.

I'm definitely going to look a lot more going forward. These were found relatively easy. It's in an area with live water and really close to a small river. Lots of trees and a decent size flat area right there as well. Draw that forms right there and goes to the river as well (the artifacts i found and posted were in the edge of the draw). Not sure if that's a good area for a camp? Sorry so many questions I'm new to this and pretty excited about it.

I'm no expert either, but that sounds like an ideal area for a camp assuming the flat area is out of the flood plain (on the high side of the draw/river).

The flat area is definitely out of the flood plain. It's in the hill country and the river I mentioned runs at least a little bit all the time because it's spring fed (or it has run at least a little the last few years I've been hunting there anyways).

Thank you guys for the input. I'm definitely going to look a lot more in depth sooner rather than later.

Thoughts on these? Not sure if the darker one qualifies as anything or not. Figured someone here might know. Houston County, if that matters. Well, I can't figure out tapacrap at the moment.

Thanks for the info GarGuy! Are these fairly common points for the area/time period?

Better pics needed but its a blade if sorts. Judging by the patina, it's several thousand years old. You might want yo scratch around right there. The worn stone to the left of it appears to have a shaft straightening groove and shaped on the end.

Here are a couple I found last month in LaSalle County. I really want to get my skid steer in there with a sitting table. Iíve found so many worked pieces in this area.

Yep and the stone above left looks to have been worked... some kind of tool or point/scraper...

That's what I was wonder-n, Charlie. All those pieces may have been collected and put there by someone. I'm also wonder-n about the piece Les pointed out. It appears there are leaves under it. So, maybe someone placed it there recently, unless the leaves somehow slipped under it? Or maybe it was tossed to it's resting place from somewhere else recently?

Both are nice! The Triangle may be an Early Triangle. It has a nice beveled edge. The little archery point us a perfiz in fine condition. Keep it in a frame or wrapped good. It's worth several hundred bucks with all the little ears and tips intact. Ding one off and it's just another damaged birdie.

That's probably what it was used for.

I don't know all the correct names. But they do all look like useful tools.

Two of those pieces look interesting. I bet Garguy could identify that small black and white one under the big preform.
And the larger gray one second from the bottom on the left looks to be whole.

The bigger item up top is a piece that just wouldn't flake. The bigger item bottom right is a hand held tool. The curved item between is just a flake. The two small stemmed points are archery age, probably were scallorn.

The very small point up top was a quite rare paleo point called Cypress. Tip is gone .

The rounded based item bottom left may be Zella angostura.
